The Physical Mind and Higher Mind The physical mind is not designed to know how things ‘happen.’ The physical mind is only designed to understand how things ‘happened.’ The higher self, ‘concedes.’ The physical brain ‘receives.’ The physical personality mind ‘perceives.’ Darryl Anka began channeling Bashar in 1984 and has, over the past 26 years created an extensive library of information. One of the greatest minds and deep thinkers, Alan Watts shares his wisdom about our connection to the universe through analogies that resonate. “Underneath the superficial self, which pays attention to this and that, there is another self more really us than “I”. And the more you become aware of the unknown self, if you become aware of it, the more you realize that it is inseparably connected with everything else that is. And the more you become aware of the unknown self; if you become aware of it; the more you realize that it is inseparably connected with everything [More]
Science and Spirituality Jeff Lieberman at TEDxCambridge   Jeff Lieberman, an MIT-trained artist, scientist and engineer, makes a scientific argument for mystical experience. He asks us to challenge our perception of what we are, our relationship to the universe, and our relationship to one another. Our minds are “thought-generating machines.” What we would happen if we could turn off the machine? If we could transcend our individual experience of the world? This talk was transcribed by Brad Miele. Transcript here: http://bea.st/inevolution/?p=264 Learn more about TEDxCambridge at http://www.tedxcambridge.com. Is Consciousness Located In The Brain? Evidence for Reincarnation Dr. Bruce Greyson reports of cases that suggest that consciousness does not need a physical brain and in fact not even a physical body. Presented at the “Cosmology and Consciousness Conference” hosted by Upper TCV, Dharamsala, in 2011 Is there consciousness in other galaxies? What is the origin of consciousness? What is it like to be a bat, octopus, or a tree? These are all great questions but Dr. Bruce Grayson would like to ask, what it is like to be a human being? Most western psychologists believe that consciousness is [More]

Infinity looked at from the point of view of philosophy, theology, mathematics, and physics. “The infinite! No other question has ever moved so profoundly the spirit of man,” said David Hilbert, one of the most influential mathematicians of the 19th century. A subject extensively studied by philosophers, mathematicians, and more recently, physicists and cosmologists, infinity still stands as an enigma of the intellectual world. Thinkers clash over questions such as: Does infinity exist? Can it be found in the physical world? What types of infinity are there? Through an interdisciplinary discussion with some of the world’s leading thinkers, this program [More]
This large size leptocephalus is believed to be a species of Muraenidae (moray eels), and probably the larva of a long thin ribbon eel, which is metamorphosing, not feeding, and is entering shallow water to finish it’s metamorphosis into a young eel. (Larva identified by Michael J. Miller) Leptocephali are the unusual transparent larvae of eels and their close relatives. Because they are transparent they are so hard to spot and are hardly ever sighted. Filmed by Barry Haythorne and Rob Rutgers, HRF U/W Production.
The Fabric of the Cosmos Quantum Leap NOVA   “The Fabric of the Cosmos,” a four-hour series based on the book by renowned physicist and author Brian Greene, takes us to the frontiers of physics to see how scientists are piecing together the most complete picture yet of space, time, and the universe. With each step, audiences will discover that just beneath the surface of our everyday experience lies a world we’d hardly recognize—a startling world far stranger and more wondrous than anyone expected. Earth Talk: Science and Spiritual Practices Lecture by Dr Rupert Sheldrake   In this lecture at Schumacher College, Rupert Sheldrake shows how the “scientific worldview” is moribund; the sciences are being constricted by assumptions that have hardened into dogmas. But science itself is now transcending the materialist philosophy, and pointing toward a new sense of a living world. The cosmos is no longer like a machine running down; it is more like a developing organism with an inherent memory, and so is our planet, Gaia. These new paradigm shifts in the sciences shed a new light on spiritual practices like pilgrimage, [More]
The great wisdom of the EMERALD TABLETS OF THOTH. The Emerald Tablet is one of the most revered documents in the Western World, and its Egyptian author, Hermes Trismegistus, has become synonymous with ancient wisdom. His tablet contains an extremely succinct summary of what Aldous Huxley dubbed the “Perennial Philosophy,” a timeless science of soul that keeps popping up despite centuries of effort to suppress it. The basic idea is that there exists a divine or archetypal level of mind that determines physical reality, and individuals can access that realm through direct knowledge of God. The teachings of Hermes — [More]
