Older Gentleman with Alzheimer’s Reacts To Music From His Era Social worker Dan Cohen creates personalized iPod playlists for the residents of a nursing home in an attempt to enrich their lives with something they can enjoy. This heart warming short clip from the documentary clip from “Alive Inside” is about how music touches the heart and soul in such a way as to even ‘awaken’ someone who is typically inert, maybe depressed, unresponsive and or almost dead. The reaction of an elderly inmate featured in this clip, Henry, was filmed as a part of the documentary, “Alive Inside.”
