We want to reward those who are the best at what they do. Not just so that they keep doing their job, but so that they keep doing their best at their jobs!
Let's hope that more smart people continue to occupy more positions of complexity. Why? Because they're smarter! Would you want it any other way?

So who gets ahead? Smart people who work hard!
